In the tradition of community foundations across the country, the Arizona Community Foundation is a bridge between generous donors and the nonprofit organizations that support our communities. We encourage connections, share knowledge, and inspire one another to give in meaningful and impactful ways.
Our Focus Areas
ACF and our donors will continue to support our philanthropic areas—arts & culture, community improvement & development, quality education, health innovations, and environment & sustainability—while creating collaborative ventures that will guide our impact in three key areas of focus.
Education
ACF will prioritize the funding of educational programs because of its critical role in the state’s future. Improvement in early childhood literacy, increased support for teacher recruitment and retention, and a rise in postsecondary attainment rates will aid our state in long-term prosperity for all.
Environment
Arizona is home to a beautiful and diverse landscape. Protecting the state’s natural resources and ensuring a sustainable future is a priority for residents. Addressing the state's extreme heat, investing in local food systems, and galvanizing support for conservation will assist in tackling some of the most pressing, local environmental needs.
Housing
Arizona's rapid population growth has led to a severe shortage of affordable housing, making it challenging for many residents to find suitable places to live within financial reach. While Arizona is not alone in its challenges, the housing price levels in our state were over six percent above the national average in 2022, according to the State of Housing in Arizona 2024 report by ARCHES at ASU Morrison Institute for Public Policy.
