Arizona Launches the Environmental Convening: Extreme Heat Solutions
The Arizona Community Foundation, City of Phoenix, Arizona State University, and Desert Botanical Garden have announced Arizona's Environmental Convening. This will be a two-day national convening on extreme heat resilience taking place December 2–3, 2026, in downtown Phoenix.
Named for Phoenix's all-time record temperature of 122°F, the conference is designed as an action-oriented gathering to connect cross-sector leaders, move capital, and advance scalable solutions to one of the defining climate challenges of our time. From Indigenous-led adaptation strategies to nature-based urban cooling, Arizona's Environmental Convening brings together the knowledge, projects, and partnerships already driving change , and creates the conditions for that work to grow.
