The Arizona Community Foundation of Yuma is proud to announce the appointment of Alejandro Vieyra as Philanthropic Advisor. A Yuma native with a strong commitment to education and community development, Vieyra brings a wealth of experience and a deep-rooted passion for serving his hometown.
Vieyra joins ACF of Yuma from Arizona State University, where he spent several years as an Enrollment Coach supporting the Starbucks College Achievement Plan. In this role, he guided hundreds of students through their educational journeys, demonstrating a strong talent for mentoring, outreach, and relationship-building.
“We are thrilled to welcome Alejandro back home to Yuma in this important role,” said Veronica Shorr, Regional Director. “His experience in higher education, combined with his Yuma roots, make him uniquely positioned to connect with our local nonprofits, donors, and partners as we continue building a stronger, more vibrant community.”
As Philanthropic Advisor, Vieyra will work closely with nonprofits, donors, and professional advisors to grow charitable resources, support endowment building, and strengthen nonprofit sustainability in Yuma and the surrounding region.
“I’m excited to return to my hometown and be part of the important work ACF of Yuma is doing to support lasting impact,” said Vieyra. “This community means so much to me, and I’m looking forward to helping our local nonprofits thrive.”
