Steve Seleznow Scholarship Fund
The Steve Seleznow Scholarship Fund was established at the Arizona Community Foundation to make a long-term investment in Arizona high school graduates who are pursuing higher education at Arizona colleges and universities. The endowed fund was created in 2022 with an initial gift of $100,000 from the Ellis Center for Educational Excellence in recognition of the contributions of outgoing President & CEO Steve Seleznow.
As our communities strive to create a pipeline of highly skilled and educated Arizonans who can meet our state’s current and future workforce demands, the Steve Seleznow Scholarship Fund will provide needed resources to help close the educational attainment gap and advance ACF’s commitment to ensure that all students have opportunities to realize their education goals.
Steve Seleznow
Steve began his career as an elementary school teacher in the Washington, D.C.-area and spent nearly 30 years in public education, serving as deputy superintendent for Montgomery County Public Schools and chief of staff and interim superintendent for District of Columbia Public Schools.
His commitment to public education influenced the scope of ACF's work in the space and solidified our commitment to quality education for all Arizona students, at all ages.
