The 100 Club of Arizona scholarship program provides financial education assistance to sworn or certified public safety or fire employees of any local, municipal, county, state, federal or tribal agency in Arizona; and their immediate family members—children, spouses, or stepchildren (cousins, aunts/uncles or other extended family are not eligible).

Eligibility Criteria:

– Undergraduate studies in upcoming school year (trade/vocational schools, community college, or university studies)

– Graduating high school senior or student currently enrolled and continuing in undergraduate studies

– Volunteer/Community Service

– Minimum GPA of 2.8 (unweighted for current high school seniors)

Award Details:

Scholarships are one-time awards covering tuition, books, fees and/or housing. The award is sent in two equal payments, one per semester. Awards range from $5,000-$10,000 per year. Students must re-apply in subsequent years for consideration.

Eligibility Criteria:

– Female

– Arizona residents living in Mesa, Chandler, Gilbert or Apache Junction.

– Graduating high school senior, current/returning undergraduate college student or adult re-entry student.

– 2.5 GPA for associate/community college students.

– 3.0 GPA for 4-year college/university students.

– Active participant in school and community activities.

– Financial need as demonstrated by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and Student Aid Report (SAR).

– Attending school full-time.

Award Details:

Recipients of this award receive mentorship from members of the AAUW of East Mesa (AZ) Branch and are required to maintain communication with their mentor throughout the year. Renewable for four or more additional years if student maintains the appropriate GPA. The renewable amount will be determined based on school and number of credit hours the student plans to take.

Evelyn Lathram and her husband established this scholarship in memory of her grandparents, Albert R. and Nellie D. Spikes. Ms. Lathram is proud to honor her grandparents’ dedication to education with the goal to provide support for graduating high school students of Bowie, Arizona, to attend a post-secondary education institution.

Eligibility Criteria:

– Student must be a resident of the town of Bowie, Arizona or be a graduating senior from Bowie High School (may consider students who live in nearby area and graduate from Bowie High OR live in Bowie and graduate from Wilcox or San Simon High Schools)

– Student must be seeking to enroll in any type of post-secondary education at any type of school (vocational, 2-year or 4-year school in the U.S.)

– Student may be enrolled less than full-time

Award Renewal:

The Albert R. and Nellie D. Spikes Scholarship may be renewed for up to four years, based on satisfactory progress made as determined by enrollment. Previous recipients will be contacted via email during the spring semester with instructions on how to request renewed funding. In order to be considered for renewal the student must be in good standing with the school and eligible for continuation, and the student must submit a school transcript and one page essay describing the highs and lows of the previous academic year.

The Alexandra Ryan Swanson Live Your Dream Scholarship was created in Lilla Swanson’s daughter’s memory to support residents and participants in UMOM Housing Programs in earning a GED, college degree, or certificate from a trade or vocational program.

Eligibility Requirements:

– Male/female

– U.S. and non-U.S. Citizens

– Undergraduate students, graduate students, adult re-entry students

– Currently participating in UMOM Housing Program and need to pass and complete course in good standing with UMOM completed community service requirements

Alhambra District employees started the Alhambra Foundation for the Future, a nonprofit organization that solicits funds solely for college scholarships. Employees contribute money directly out of their own pockets to this one-of-a-kind scholarship program.

Eligibility Criteria:

– Graduating high school senior or current college student who graduated from 8th grade in the Alhambra Elementary School District

– Minimum 2.5 GPA

– Enrolled in an undergraduate accredited college or university

– Participated in extracurricular activities, community service, or employment


Scholarship is not automatically renewed. A student may reapply each year and receive the scholarship up to four times.

The Amy Wasserman Scholarship Fund will provide financial aid for students who attended school in Tempe School Districts, with a preference for students that attended Nevitt Elementary School.

Eligibility Criteria:

– Preference for previous recipients of the Wasserman Scholarship.

– Attending any post secondary institution after high school graduation including 2 year, 4 year, vocational and technical schools.

– Demonstrate high financial need based on the FAFSA process. If a student can not complete the FAFSA other income indicators will be used.

– Graduated from a Tempe Union High School or attended Nevitt Elementary School.

Award Continuation:

Students may request to renew each year for continued funding. If selected, a student may receive the Amy Wasserman Scholarship for up to four years. The student must be in good standing with the school and eligible for continuation in their program of study. Renewal candidates must demonstrate the maintenance of a 2.0 GPA or better for consideration.

Award Details:

The Amy Wasserman Scholarship will be a gap scholarship up to the full amount of the student’s tuition and fees cost for the academic year. The award does not include funds for on or off campus room and board. There will be a cap on private, vocational and technical schools equal to the amount of the average tuition, fees and books at the in-state four year schools.

Eligibility Criteria:

– Current or former Arizona foster care youth

– Graduating high school senior or current undergraduate level college student

– Attending any accredited university or community college in Arizona

– Full-time enrollment

– Financial need

– At least half of the students selected each year will be selected from outside Maricopa County

– An additional component of this scholarship includes college mentoring services through College Success Arizona


This scholarship is renewable for up to 3 additional years if the following criteria are met:

– Complete a minimum of 12 credit hours each semester (full-time)

– Be in good standing at the college/university of enrollment as indicated by college transcripts

– Submit an up to date copy of your transcript for the previous academic year.

The Arizona Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Scholarship Fund provides $5,000 awards to incoming juniors in business majors at NCA Accredited schools in Arizona. The students will be paired with a mentor and given opportunities to participate in internships with Chamber members. The goal of the scholarship is to support and guide the next generation of business owners, managers, and leaders for a better Arizona.

Eligibility Criteria:

– Undergraduate with a declared major in a business college at a North Central Association Accredited college or university in Arizona with an intent to pursue a career in business—you can see the list of accredited schools here:

– Minimum GPA of 3.0 in previously completed college studies

– One parent/guardian must be of Hispanic heritage

– Will be starting junior or senior year of undergraduate studies

– Must be accepted into and enrolled in a Bachelor degree business program

– Must enroll full-time

The awarded student must meet all of the above criteria. In addition, preference will be given to the student who has an ADA-recognized physical disability; and, is a dependent of, or employee of, a company that is a member of the Arizona Hispanic Chamber of Commerce — search to see if you or a parent/guardian’s company is a member at .

Award Details:

Amount is $5,000. The award is renewable for one additional year if the student meets the requirements for renewal. Students will be contacted via email in the spring with instructions about the renewal process.

The goal of this scholarship is to aid high-performing students in financial need to achieve a major that will prepare them for a job in four years. This fund was established by Francie Austin. The scholarship is intended to cover in-state tuition, fees, and books for a maximum of $15,000 per academic year. Scholarship is renewable for up to three additional years and recipients can also receive mentoring services.

Eligibility Criteria:
– 3.5 GPA
– Letter of Recommendation
– Submit a supplemental essay question on their career goals
– Students attending a community college, 4-year undergraduate, or graduate program
– Students must demonstrate financial need
– Adult Re-entry students are eligible to apply
– Preference is given to students attending an Arizona postsecondary institution

The Barbara Shay Memorial Nursing Scholarship was established to help Arizona students graduating from Kofa or Cibola High School in their Nursing studies at Arizona Western College or NAU Yuma.

Eligibility Criteria:

– U.S. citizen

– Graduating senior at Kofa or Cibola High School, or current college student who graduated from Kofa or Cibola High School

– 2.5 minimum GPA

– Plan to pursue a career as a Registered Nurse

– Planning to attend Arizona Western College or NAU Yuma

– Full time

Application Requirements in Addition to the General Application Questions: The Barbara Shay Memorial Nursing Scholarship requires that at least one recommendation be submitted on behalf of interested applicants. This reference should come from a an individual who will write a strong letter of recommendation on your behalf. Ideally, this would be a mentor in the nursing field, as this scholarship is for students intent on careers as Registered Nurses. Student must also complete the additional required essay.

Award Details:

$1,000 split into two payments, one at the start of each semester. Must enroll full time.

This award is not renewable.
