Eligibility Criteria:

The Amy Wasserman Scholarship Fund will provide financial aid for students who attended school in Tempe School Districts, with a preference for students that attended Nevitt Elementary School.
Eligibility Criteria:
– Preference for previous recipients of the Wasserman Scholarship.
– Attending any post secondary institution after high school graduation including 2 year, 4 year, vocational and technical schools.
– Demonstrate high financial need based on the FAFSA process. If a student can not complete the FAFSA other income indicators will be used.
– Graduated from a Tempe Union High School or attended Nevitt Elementary School.
Award Continuation:
Students may request to renew each year for continued funding. If selected, a student may receive the Amy Wasserman Scholarship for up to four years. The student must be in good standing with the school and eligible for continuation in their program of study. Renewal candidates must demonstrate the maintenance of a 2.0 GPA or better for consideration.
Award Details:
The Amy Wasserman Scholarship will be a gap scholarship up to the full amount of the student’s tuition and fees cost for the academic year. The award does not include funds for on or off campus room and board. There will be a cap on private, vocational and technical schools equal to the amount of the average tuition, fees and books at the in-state four year schools.

– Graduating high school senior from Arizona
– Attending a 2 year or 4 year college/university
– African American
– 3.0 GPA or higher
– Financial need
Award Details:
The Archer Ragsdale Arizona Chapter awards two scholarships to deserving graduating high school students who are college bound.
Eligibility Criteria:
– Current or former Arizona foster care youth
– Graduating high school senior or current undergraduate level college student
– Attending any accredited university or community college in Arizona
– Full-time enrollment
– Financial need
– At least half of the students selected each year will be selected from outside Maricopa County
– An additional component of this scholarship includes college mentoring services through College Success Arizona
Renewal:
This scholarship is renewable for up to 3 additional years if the following criteria are met:
– Complete a minimum of 12 credit hours each semester (full-time)
– Be in good standing at the college/university of enrollment as indicated by college transcripts
– Submit an up to date copy of your transcript for the previous academic year.
This award is to help ‘lay a solid foundation’ for students graduating from high school. There is a preference for applicants from outlying Arizona counties (all counties besides Maricopa, Pinal and Pima).
Eligibility Criteria:
– High school senior at time of applying
– Arizona resident
– Attending an accredited community college for 2 years
– Full time
– Major related to Business, Nursing, Mechanics, or STEM
– Financial need as determined by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
– Community service demonstrated in the general application
– Minimum GPA of 2.5
– Preference to students from outlying Arizona counties (all counties besides Maricopa, Pinal and Pima)
Award Details:
The scholarship is renewable for an additional 3 years with years 3 and 4 at a state university.
The following criteria must be met as well:
– Minimum 3.0 GPA
– Financial need as determined by the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid)
– Full-time status
– Continue in a major related to Business, Nursing, Mechanics, or STEM
– 50 hours of community service
This award is to help ‘lay a solid foundation’ for adult re-entry students . There is a preference for applicants from outlying Arizona counties (all counties besides Maricopa, Pinal and Pima).

– Adult re-entry student
– Arizona resident
– Attending an accredited community college for 2 years
– Full time
– Major related to Business, Nursing, Mechanics, or STEM
– Financial need as determined by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
– Community service demonstrated in the general application
– Minimum GPA of 2.5
– Preference to students from outlying Arizona counties (all counties besides Maricopa, Pinal and Pima)
Award Details:
The scholarship is renewable for an additional 3 years with years 3 and 4 at a state university.

The Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration Committee will award scholarships to students attending an accredited higher learning institution in financial need. Eligible students must show how they promoted the principles of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. through their participation in school, community, and/or faith-based events within the last year.
Eligibility Criteria:
– U.S. citizen or legal resident (including DACA students)
– Arizona resident
– Explanation of activities/events in the required supplemental essay section
– Graduating high school senior or undergraduate student currently attending an accredited community college, private vocational college, or university
– Minimum 2.0 GPA
– Part- or full-time enrollment
– Financial need as demonstrated by the FAFSA
– African American or African descent, Latinx, or Native American
– Extra consideration will be given to applicants who have participated in Martin Luther King activities throughout the Valley and state
Award Details:
Awards will be up to $750 for community college and $1,000 for university students. Scholarship is one-time, non-renewable.
This award was created from the Brit LeCompte Trust.
Eligibility Criteria:
– GPA between 2.0 and 3.5
– Must have financial need
– Preference for students from Eastern Maryland, but not required.
This award is not renewable.
Eligibility Criteria:
– Graduating high school senior enrolled in an AVID program at a Maricopa County high school for at least three years OR participated in any Be A Leader Foundation, GEAR UP, or TRIO, or TRIO Upward Bound, or AGUILA, or Si Se Puede program
– Demonstrated commitment to higher education despite personal/financial obstacles
– Accepted and plan to attend Arizona State University, Northern Arizona University, University of Arizona, or an Arizona community college and enroll in a minimum of 12 hours each semester
Award Details:
Individual awards are $2,000 ($1,000 per semester) for the first year and $2,500 ($1,250 per semester) for the second year. Funding is sent directly to the school.
Award Renewal:
To be eligible for the second and final year of funding, scholarship recipients will be required to be enrolled in a minimum of 12 credit hours and be in good academic standing as described by their respective institutions.
The Camp Verde Healing Arts Scholarship was created by the Estate of Peggy L. Harrison for students at Camp Verde High School in Camp Verde, Arizona.
Eligibility Criteria:
– High school seniors at Camp Verde High School or South Verde High School
– Current undergraduate students who graduated from Camp Verde or South Verde High School
– Minimum high school cumulative grade point average of 3.35
– Planning to major in either veterinary science or medicine in preparation for a career as a health care provider
– Admitted to an Arizona public university in studies preparing for career as a health care provider
– Preference for students pursuing a career as a veterinarian or medical doctor (MD or DO)
– Financial need as indicated on the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
– Excellent college admission test scores
– Demonstrated evidence of high motivation, determination to succeed and potential leadership
– Extracurricular/community involvement
Award Details:
The scholarship may be renewed for up to 4 years if funds are available. To be eligible for renewal, student must remain in major.
The Catherine M. Newman Memorial Scholarship was created to honor the memory of Catherine (Cathy) Marie Newman with the objective of helping scholars who have demonstrated a passion for learning, hard work, and giving back to the community, but who may also need financial assistance to bring the dream of a college degree to fruition.
Eligibility Criteria:
– U.S. Citizen, legal resident or DACA student
– Graduating high school senior or current college student with less than 48 credits completed
– Enrolled, or planning to enroll, full-time at Arizona State University, Northern Arizona University, or the University of Arizona
– 3.0 GPA or above
– Financial need as verified by the Student Aid Report from the FAFSA application
– One submitted letter of recommendation is required
– Preference for students majoring in sciences or writing (including math, engineering and journalism)
– Preference for students committed to community service
Award Details:
This is a one-time award that will be sent in two, equal payments to an educational institution for tuition and fees. Students may reapply each year.
The Dale Spencer Scholarship Fund provides financial education assistance to veterans with high financial need.
Eligibility Criteria:
– Veteran or Active Duty of the U.S. Armed Forces
– High financial need required
– Preference given to those who are current or former members of the Foster Care System
Award Details:
Scholarships are one-time awards covering tuition, books, fees and/or housing. The award is sent in two equal payments, one per semester. Award is up to $1,000 per year.
