Spirit of Philanthropy Awards Celebration

The Arizona Community Foundation is pleased to invite you to a free celebration of community philanthropy where we recognize the Spirit Award winners, individuals who invest in communities across Sedona and the Verde Valley. We will recognize the Nonprofit of the Year, Community Collaborator of the Year, Business Benefactor of the Year, Volunteer of the Year, and Philanthropist of the Year.

Presented by Kristen Mihaljevic, CGPP, CAP®,the topic of this session will be: 'Planned Giving Resources for Nonprofits' Learn how your nonprofit can move beyond annual gifts and event fundraising to build a comprehensive planned giving program. Kristen Mihaljevic, ACF's Senior Director of Planned Giving and Donor Experience, will share a variety of resources and best practices to help build your program.

The Arizona Community Foundation of the Gila Valley invites organizations serving Graham and Greenlee counties to one of our grant application workshops. The same information will be provided at each workshop; attend the one that works best with your schedule. Topics to be discussed include an overview of the ACF online grants center, grant guidelines, and elements of an effective application.

Twice Nice Thriftique

We will meet at the Twice Nice Thriftique, carpool over to the new VVS Campus & Community Based Advocacy Center, then on to the transitional housing complex Desert Rose Court, and lastly, tour the Emergency Shelter to learn about the supportive services offered free of charge to survivors of domestic and sexual violence and their children.

Beaver Creek Library and Preservation & Historical Society Site Visit

Beaver Creek School

The Beaver Creek Library and the Beaver Creek Preservation and Historical Society are located on the grounds of the Beaver Creek School (K-8). After touring the school/public library we will see the historic Rock School House.

Beaver Creek Adult Center

This all-volunteer community center serves as a hub for a wide variety of activities in Rimrock, Lake Montezuma, McGuireville, and nearby communities. Members and non-members are welcome.
