
Veronica Shorr
Regional Director
Veronica Shorr joined the Arizona Community Foundation as Regional Director, based in Yuma in December of 2016. She is responsible for raising the ACF of Yuma profile and engaging in community leadership.
Veronica comes to ACF from the Yuma Country Library District, where she had served as the Fund Development Officer. Prior to that, she spent over 10 years in Tucson where she was involved in scholarships and student development and support. She is a Yuma native and well-known throughout the Yuma community.
Veronica is a graduate of ASU, where she received a bachelor’s degree in Social Work and went on to complete a master’s degree in Policy, Administration and Community Practice (Grants Management). She is currently working to complete a master’s in Sustainability, also from ASU. Veronica is a Lead Council Member for the Yuma Area Nonprofit Institute, Council Member for First Things First, Regional Council Member for Expect More Arizona, a Board of Directors member for Sunset Community Health, Vice President for the Yuma Chapter of the Grants Professional Association, and a peer reviewer for the Arizona Department of Education.
