
Kim Covington
Vice President, Community Initiatives
As Vice President, Community Initiatives Kim Covington is focused on expanding and amplifying ACF’s community presence in diverse communities across the state. She oversees ACF initiatives including Latinos Unidos and the Black Philanthropy Initiative and several giving circles. She was promoted to her current role in April 2021, having previously served as a Senior Philanthropic Advisor and Senior Director.
Kim retired from TV news after 30 years in the industry to better serve her community. She serves on the Board of Directors for the Children’s Museum of Phoenix and the Brain Injury Alliance of Arizona. She serves on the Advisory Board of the Arizona Alliance of Black School Educators, Phoenix Mayor Greg Stanton’s African-American Advisory Roundtable, and the Fast-Track Cities Initiative Ad Hoc Committee for the City of Phoenix. She has been a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority for over 30 years. Kim is a graduate of University of Missouri – Columbia where she earned a bachelor’s degree from the School of Journalism.
