Karla Jones

Karla Jones joined the Arizona Community Foundation as Chief Financial Officer in November 2025. In her role, she will oversee the strategic and operational work of staff on the finance & investment, technology, and fund operations teams, focus on implementing and driving strategies that transform and elevate ACF’s business operations, and put into place innovative platforms and processes that improve workflows and service internally and for donors and nonprofit partners.  Under her leadership, we will continue to enhance cross-functional integration, problem-solving, innovation, and accountability that result in cutting-edge ideas and solutions.

Prior to ACF, Karla spent 24 years at the Community Foundation of Greater Des Moines (CFGDM), the last 16 as Chief Financial & Administrative Officer.  During her tenure with CFGDM, Karla was responsible for the oversight and continuous improvement of the finance, technology, fund administration, risk management, facilities, and human resources functions, while providing thought leadership and strategic vision for long-term business planning.

Karla earned a Bachelor of Science in accounting from Drake University and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).  She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Iowa Society of Certified Public Accountants, and a recent past member of Financial Executives International.
