Private Investor
Opatrny is a private investor who formerly served as a partner and managing director of Goldman Sachs. He is a former vice chair of the Board of Cornell University and sits on their Investment Committee. He also serves as Trustee Emeritus, Presidential Councilor, Foremost Benefactor, and member of the Johnson Museum Advisory Council. He serves as an Independent Director on the BlackRock Multi-Asset Board where he chairs the Performance Oversight Committee. Opatrny is an Investment Funds Committee Member for the State of Wyoming’s Treasurer’s Office. He is a Trustee of both the Phoenix Art Museum and of the Community Foundation of Jackson Hole. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Cornell University and an MBA from the University of Chicago.
