VIEW 2020 SCHOLARS

In April, a team of volunteers reviewed applications, discussed the merits of each, voted on who should receive awards and forwarded the recommended list to the DMF Board of Advisors for approval.

Thirty-three students have been awarded $73,000.

Thank you Desert Mountain residents and club members, we couldn’t do it without you. Our total scholarship awards are $336,000 in seven short years.

Add your support

The support of community members is vital to the future of the scholarship program. The Desert Mountain Foundation is building an endowment that will make it possible to award at least $25,000 annually in perpetuity. You can add your support for future scholarship recipients.

Selecting the 2020 DMF Scholars

Scholarships are provided through the Desert Mountain Scholarship Fund, administered by the Arizona Community Foundation. Scholars are selected through an application process by a review panel that includes members of the DMF Advisory Board, Desert Mountain members, a local education expert, and ACF Scholarship Office staff members.

Selection is based on essays about future plans and goals, academic achievement, demonstrated community service, and relationship to a Desert Mountain employee in good standing.
