Orlando foundations help rebuild lives after the Pulse nightclub shooting
June 12 marked the one-year anniversary of the tragic shooting at the Pulse nightclub in Orlando, Fla., which was popular among the city’s LGBTQ community. The Central Florida Foundation and the City of Orlando quickly mobilized and created the OneOrlando fund to assist victims and their families and loved ones. The Arizona Community Foundation was an early contributor to this effort.
New loan program offers free financial education for borrowers with car title loans
The Lend a Hand loan program aims to assist Maricopa County residents struggling to pay off high cost title loans and help put them on a path to healthy credit and financial success. The loan program is provided through a partnership between the Arizona Community Foundation, MariSol Federal Credit Union, the Phoenix IDA, and Take Charge America.

ACF announced grant and scholarship distributions for its fiscal year ending March 31, 2017. A total of $55,194,945 was awarded in both discretionary and advised grants from funds of the Arizona Community Foundation and its six statewide Affiliates in Cochise, Flagstaff, the Gila Valley, Sedona, Yavapai County and Yuma.
Lisa Dancsok is ACF's new Chief Brand & Impact Officer
Lisa Dancsok has been named ACF's next Chief Brand & Impact Officer, beginning May 15. She succeeds Megan Brownell, who had been with the Foundation for 10 years before she was named Senior Director of Communications for Banner Health Foundation. Lisa comes to ACF from the Community Foundation for Southeast Michigan, where she was Vice President, Marketing and Communications.
ACF's partnerships have social, financial impact

CodePHX gives students, ages 5 through 16, an opportunity to learn computer coding and STEM skills at city libraries, community centers, and a mobile coding lab. Lend a Hand helps individuals struggling to pay off high-cost title loans.
