How to support Hurricane Ida relief efforts
In the aftermath of Hurricane Ida, community foundations and nonprofits are working quickly to provide relief to those impacted by the storm. Here is a list of organizations that are offering help:
Many organizations are working to provide on the ground recovery efforts for families, communities, and businesses. Click the organization's name to learn more or donate online.
- The American Red Cross. Sunday night, more than 2,500 people sought refuge in some 60 Red Cross and community shelters across Louisiana, Mississippi, and Texas. As of Monday morning, the Arizona-New Mexico Region has deployed 32 responders with many more to be assigned as we are able to reach those hardest hit areas. In addition to pre-positioned supplies, the Red Cross moved truckloads of additional cots, blankets, and comfort kits, along with tens of thousands of ready-to-eat meals into Louisiana and Mississippi this weekend.
- The Salvation Army. This organization is rescuing those in need and supplying food, water, shelter, and vital resources to those impacted by Hurricane Ida.
- Catholic Charities. Your gift supports agencies on the frontlines working tirelessly for those impacted by Hurricane Ida. Catholic Charities provides critical aid including water, emergency shelter, financial assistance, crisis counseling, and logistical support.
