Overview

Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) investing can be more than ‘treehuggery’; when executed well it can be a meaningful way to preserve and grow wealth. Hear from Betsy Moszeter, who will cover those essential lessons and provide tips to help investors spot and avoid greenwashed investment portfolios.

David McCarville will discuss the intersection of cryptocurrencies, financial services, and charitable giving, which will include a discussion about how digital art and Non-Fungible Tokens (“NFT’s”) can be used as new way to raise funds for nonprofit organizations.

So you need to know what your company is worth? Well…it is not so clear. Is this for a sale to a strategic partner? Is it to satisfy a bank loan? Is it to sell internally to a partner for a buy/sell arrangement? Where will you get the MOST value in a transaction? A business can be valued in multiple ways for different purposes. Many people have heard of valuing a company at a multiple of revenue or EBITDA; in this section, Joe Laux, CFP®, CPWA®, CEPA and David Bean, CPA, CEPA® will walk you through different strategies for valuations and how to figure out where you fit within a range.

Overview

Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) has always been an integral part of ACF’s business model. It is critical that we acknowledge how historical inequities, unconscious bias, and other structural obstacles in philanthropy have restricted access to capital and capacity-building for BIPOC-led organizations. We will take time to address our work in DEI and our plans moving forward.
